Strukturanalyse modifizierter Bakterien-Cellulosen verschiedener Subspezies des A. xylinum mittels Festkörper-Kernresonanz-Spektroskopie

Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit fundamentellen Untersuchungen zu Struktur-Eigenschaftsbeziehungen von Bakteriencellulose. Unter Nutzung effizienter Methoden der Festkörper-Kernspinresonanz-Spektroskopie als auch isotopenmarkierter Materialien werden relevante Fragen zum mikrobiellen Aufbau und zur supramolekularen Struktur, insbesondere zum Wasserstoffbrückensystem, von Cellulose erörtert.

Essentielle Untersuchungen zur Cellulosebildung durch verschiedene Subspezies des Acetobacter xylinum in herkömmlichen und in modifizierten Schramm-Hestrin Nährmedien werden beschrieben. Zudem fördern die Analysen kristalliner und nichtkristalliner Anteile von Cellulosevliesen und -fasern das Verständnis supramolekularer Strukturänderungen in Abhängigkeit von Biosynthese, Aufreinigung und Nachbehandlung der Bakteriencellulose.

Die verbesserte Zuordnung der chemischen Verschiebungswerte zu den Kohlenstoffatomen im Anhydroglucosering von Bakteriencellulose als auch die Bestimmung signifikanter Strukturparameter der 13C-Anisotropie von Cellulose I und II über hochwertige NMR-Techniken, z.B. Rekopplung der Anisotropie-Information, werden behandelt.
